Within the ECEMF project, @Mark.Dekker and colleagues have been developing a protocol for model diagnostics, building on work conducted in the ENGAGE and NAVIGATE projects.
The aim of the model diagnostic scenarios are to better understand the behaviour of individual models, prior to any harmonisation or updates of models (which is often performed in a full-blown model comparison exercise).
Running the model diagnostics could be a really good entry point for forum members, and one that would provide real benefits and insights for forum members and partners alike. In addition, it could be a relatively low-effort step towards participation in a more committing model comparison exercise.
